| Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better |
Looking for a video that will make you laugh? We have it! In the summer of 2012, we found a video on You Tube of two young girls performing a song from the Broadway musical Annie Get Your Gun. Of course, we couldn't say no to learning this song, so we grabbed the challenge and started right away. In less than a week, we both knew the song and found matching outfits to wear at the competition. Oh, and also a hat!
"Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" took us all the way to the Oregon State Fair Talent Competition, where talented tweens and teens from all over the state of Oregon competed for the three places. It was a hot day, and the fair was buzzing with energy and excitement. Cayla doesn't remember being nervous, and Ashley was having to much fun to have butterflies in her stomach. Finally, we could be mean to each other on stage without getting in trouble!!!
To our joy and surprise, we won third place with our first Broadway song. First place and second place were rightfully awarded to two teens that had been singing Broadway for many years. It was so exciting to see their amazing performances and stand among them on the stage! We both agree that singing "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" was one of the funnest (okay... most fun) performances ever.
So light a fire in the fireplace, grab a blanket, and prepare to smile as you watch this video!
Very entertaining! I never heard pf this particular song before, but I love it. My children and I both enjoyed it. You have a lot of talent, girls. Feel free to check out some of my material as well.
